The fork of the very popular Ubuntu, apart from the standard version of the Gnome environment to move and fortunately in KDE. So the friends of the Mint are now able to download their favorite operating with the interface they prefer!
The issue then Linux Mint 12 KDE has the following characteristics:
  • KDE version 4.7.4 
  • Hybrid ISO images. This means that the ISO distribution can be used for usb boot without needing the Unebootin or other related application. However if you eventually need to use the ISO download that will remain compatible with it. 
  • As longer and the regular version, the default search engine is the Duck Duck Go 
In addition, the notice states that Moonlight has been removed because a bug has been identified causing collapse of Firefox. Also, as we watch the splash screen is black. This is not a bug but it aims to increase the speed of the boot sequence. 
The minimum distribution requirements are:
  • 512MB RAM – 1GB RAM with a proposed 
  • 5GB free hard disk space 
  • Graphics 800 × 600 
  • DVD-ROM driver or usb port
