Only Two Neural Circuitry Prevents you to Stay Paralyzed

rsz_brain-4Store memories in our brain is uniquely determined by two neural circuits. Perhaps in the future, the construction of memory can be altered by turning some specific groups of neurons

Imagine you hear the halt of tires and then the sound of breaking glass. How will  react your brain next time you face a similar situation? What are the tricks that our brains use to archive in memory that these two events are related to a traffic accident?

The so-called episodic memory is related to the memory of certain events, which need not be associated with traumatic events. Save these events in our brain involves activation of an important part of this, known as the hippocampus .

New Technology Allows the Brain to Operate Prosthetic Limbs [Video] 2

New Technology Allows the Brain to Operate Prosthetic Limbs [Video]

darpa_prosthetic_limbDARPA is currently working on a new technology that allows the brain to handle prosthetic limbs just like our normal states.

The method is called TMR (Targeted Muscle Reinnervation) and activates the nerves that are close to a truncated region, allowing the holder of the prosthetic limb to operate directly through the signals of these muscles. Scientists hope that new technology will greatly facilitate the daily activities of people such as dressing, lifting objects, etc., while surveys will continue until at least 2016.

Scientists: Chewing Gum Activates the Brain 5

Scientists: Chewing Gum Activates the Brain

gumStudies conducted by Japanese scientists from the National Institute of Radiological Sciences, suggest that the use of chewing gum, previously was regarded as a bad habit, has a positive effect on brain function.

This process allows you to activate the process of thinking, to increase the reaction rate and increase alertness by 10%, write today, February 3, the foreign media with reference to an article in the journal Brain and Cognition.

Well, yes. And we’re not speaking from a philosophical point of view but visual. In other words, with the same image, the men and women we gaze in different regions. This was demonstrated by a group of British researchers led by Felix Mercer Moss, PhD student at the University of Bristol by using a device that allows you to collect valuable visual information through eye movements (eye-tracking).

8 Bad Habits that Accelerate the Aging Process of the Brain!

Bad-Habits-Accelerate-Aging-Brain1. Defame others

Whenever you think about the bad things of others, the brain is “cretinism” a little. Research says, the brain will work well when you find and discover the strengths of others.

2. Eating after 9 pm

The brain and other organs will “turn on” rest mode after 9pm. Eating anything at this time will “wake up” the brain works; thus burdening the brain.

Pacemaker in the Brain to Combat Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer

Doctors at Johns Hopkins are holding a pioneering experiment in the United States to combat the disease of Alzheimer . A first pacemaker implant in the brain of a patient at an early stage of the disease. The idea: Try to stimulate memory and get reverse deterioration.

This is the first event of its kind in the United States. Operation was based on the same technology used in heart pacemakers which Generate the  idea of stimulating the brain.
