Russian Maria Sharapova expected, led the new world ranking WTA, was published Monday on the website of the association.
Sharapova regained the title of the first racket of peace after the finals of the French Open (“Roland Garros”), and subsequently won first prize in the tournament.
Prior to that, Sharapova has climbed to the top four ranking WTA: in August 2005 (held out in the first place one week) in September-October 2005 (6 weeks), at the beginning of 2007 (7 weeks) and May-June 2008 (3 weeks).
The new rating Sharapova ousted from first place the representative of Belarus Victoria Azarenka.
Finalist “Roland Garros” Italian Sara Errani has risen from 24th to 10th place in the ranking.
