The FBI and the Pentagon Using the Unreal Engine 3

The fact that Epic Games was particularly proud of the Unreal Engine 3, the graphics engine that was something everyone knew. It is no coincidence that this is due to the huge success of ‘Gears of War’ and ‘Mass Effect’. Yet we all thought that much of this literature was due to marketing reasons and physical views. Not anymore! As the company announced the Unreal Engine 3 will be used to create educational games for both the FBI, the U.S. Army and other agencies of the U.S. government.

Recently Epic Games has announced the signing of an agreement with Virtual Heroes, company that specializes in developing simulators. Part of this agreement is the use of graphics engine Unreal Engine 3 by the FBI for the building of a multiplayer simulator through crime scenes. At the same time, however, will be used by the U.S. Army and other government agencies in the U.S. through the Unreal Government Network. Especially in regard to the army even going to develop two separate and autonomous simulators based graphics engine: the first will be an anesthesia simulator while the second will be on the platform HumanSim for training doctors and surgeons.
