HP Launches a LaserJet Pro Printer with Built-in WiFi Hotspot

The latest release of HP printers on comes with its own connection. This is the HP LaserJet Pro HotSpot M1218nfs and it is the first model in the company able to create a WiFi hotspot that can connect up to eight devices simultaneously from those who submit print jobs.

The printer, which just made ??its debut in the Indian market, also has connections to traditional phone line, Ethernet and USB 2.0 and wireless printing system “ePrint” developed by HP.

The printer is a monochrome laser and is designed for small businesses where it can achieve a duty cycle of 8,000 pages per month. Their input trays hold up to 150 sheets and 10 envelopes A4, while the output is up to 100 sheets.

In the area of software, the HP LaserJet Pro HotSpot is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. Its maximum resolution is 1,200 dpi effective and is priced at $ 330 to change. HP is not yet known whether this printer will bring to the European market.
