iPad Dominates the Market with 88 pc Share of Global Web Traffic

It was predictable, but who was now in doubt: The latest report provided by Royal Pingdom certifies that the iPad clearly dominates the market for the tablet with ‘ 87.6% share of its global web traffic .

Region numbers are even more impressive. Comscore data are to be realized that in the United States the iPad got 99.5% of web traffic. These data contrast with the predominance of Tablet Android represented in particular by the models of HP, Samsung and Motorola, as well as dozens of companies that have their low-end solutions.

The difference between the U.S. and world issues is an important point to be stressed, which could be attributed to the fact that Android is more popular in Europe than it is in the U.S., where customers are more likely to choose alternatives to the iPad.However, in comparison to the exact market share of Android and the Apple tablet is a hard one. For the latter you really have some numbers provided by the company’s Cupertino, which is about 40 million units shipped worldwide. Google has some rather more difficult to provide reliable data, since there are hundreds of vendors to support the Android platform.

Andy Rubin , head of the division of Android in the Mountain View giant, had spoken of 6 million tablets with Google operating system around, but referred only to those able to access the ‘ Android Market , not fundamental requirement of the tablets that support this system.

The traffic data are, however, whatever explanatory, as commensurate with the actual use of the tablet, net of their distribution.
