Apples`s iPad Will Capture 61% of Market in 2011

Apple iPad is expected to continue dominating the market for tablets in 2011, maintaining a stake of 61 percent, according to a Digitimes Research report.

The Taiwanese company said about 65.2 million tablets in 2011 will be pass to manufacturers to retailers. Apple will be shipping 40 million of these devices.

An estimated 29 million Cases have been sold since the tablet on sale in April 2010.

Out of iPhone, all eyes will develop Android, the platform has extended its reach in the area of ??the tablet faster than it did in the smart phone sector, with a penetration rate reaching over 30 percent for the tablets, Digitimes said.

Percentage changes will be interesting  if Amazon Participate actively.

msnbc.com‘s Wilson Rothman state that

The tablet war begins in earnest when Amazon introduces an Android-powered Kindle — hopefully this fall.
