Intel Corporation has acquired an Israeli manufacturer of navigation software for mobile phones Telmap, writes Reuters.

In their blog, general manager of program development at Intel AppUp Peter Riddle wrote:

Telmap navigation services allow you to keep track of traffic on the roads, provide information about traffic, video cameras, tracking compliance with speed limits and so on.

At Intel in Israel already has two plants and four development centers.

Intel’s net profit in II quarter of this year amounted to $ 3 billion . Revenue manufacturer of processors for April-June rose 21% to a record $ 13 billion.
