Dropbox Competitor to be Launched Next Week with 5 GB

The Next Web was a preliminary version of a Google-drive announcement leaked to a Google partner, which contains some details about Google’s upcoming Dropbox competitor. Accordingly, Google Drive start next week and make users free 5GB cloud storage. The Next Web speculated that the launch could take place next Tuesday.

Users who want to use more than 5 GB of cloud storage can purchase additional space. It should be appropriate to start applications for Windows and Mac OS X, so that Google Drive like Dropbox folder as easily integrated into the system.

Techcrunch has even managed to download the Google Drive application and install it. Benefit could be that Google does not drive, because the service was not activated for the appropriate account. The log but was possible with a GMail account.
